The development of advanced concepts in electronic imaging and design in the context of real-world design projects; to prepare students for advanced work in electronic imaging. Practical and applied understanding of the use of image and text in communication with specific audiences.

Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
The module is delivered through a combination of lectures, practical workshops and demonstrations, design seminars and supervised project work. Two projects act as a vehicle to support seminar and tutorial work. Through self-initiated projects students will engage critically with concepts such as urban living, sustainability, and the environment. Two related imaging and design projects form the assessed coursework. Supplementary assessment is to repair deficiencies in original submission.

Advanced image generation; imaging and design in the media; identity and branding; design concepts and working with a brief; the design process; scale portability and re-use; electronic images and the real world.
