Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
This module part uses CM-0311L SQL Programming and Administration for semester 1. Semester 2 requires the student to undertake an individual project related to e-commerce. The module is based around a series of laboratory based practical sessions during which the topics encountered during the lectures are explored. Core topics will be introduced via lecture/seminar presentations. The formative laboratory/practical work is used to self-develop assessed coursework using (on-line) University facilities. The practical SQL is assessed via a demonstration under controlled conditions. Directed Study is used to further enhance practical skills in web design and scripting technologies, and for intensive subject research. Some programming experience with a modern language is expected. Supplementary assessment is to repair deficiency in the original assessment.
