Outline Syllabus:
Basic electrical concepts: units, quantities, voltage, charge, current, energy and power, basic components and circuits, AC and DC sources. Circuit variables and laws: Ohm`s law, Kirchhoff`s law Resistive circuits: series and parallel, combination Capacitors and RC circuits: charging/discharging Basic Magnetic principles: Flux, reluctance, magnetic circuits Inductors and RL circuits: DC motors: power (torque & speed) Gearing. Basic electronic components: pn junctions, diodes, LED, Zener diodes, bipolar junction transistor: Using the transistor as a switch Lab: Build a basic robot
