Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
Basic concepts are developed in lectures and tutorials. Practical design skills are gained in studio seminar sessions. Theoretical knowledge and practical skills are assessed in classroom tests performed under examination conditions.

Outline Syllabus:
Use of appropriate methods for understanding the medium. Fundamental skills in modelling systems, including, e.g. CAD, scale models and 3-D drawings. Production of realistic 3-D sketches/models, including (where appropriate) perspective, isometric projection, rendering, plans and sections.. Transformation from virtual to real model.
