To provide students with an understanding of mobile applications technologies and to introduce practical skills for development and practices in mobile applications.

Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
Formal lectures will be conducted on the theory and practice of the subject, supported by directed reading. Laboratory work will be used to complete the course work which will allow practical skills to be developed. Supplementary assessment will be to repair deficiency in original submission.

The module will be based around the following subject areas:
(1) Mobile Applications Introduction, (2) Overview of Mobile Operating Systems, (3) General overview of Website Development Tools: XML, HTML, Visual Studio.NET, Java, (4) Microsoft NET (includes Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit (MMIT))
