Learning Teaching & Assessment Strategy:
This module is characterised as `work-based learning` constituting part of a Foundation Degree. The teaching strategy is by focused tutorial sessions. These will allow students to understand and reflect upon work place activities. Supplementary assessment is to repair deficiencies in original submission.

Outline Syllabus:
Students will identify an appropriate activity at their place of work and evaluate the energy aspects of the activity. This will include elements of the following topics: Traditional and alternative sources of power and energy; Sustainability; Environmental management policies; Life Cycle Analysis; Resource management; Approaches to energy conservation; Systems analysis of energy savings; Principles and techniques for an Energy Management Audit.
